Start Solar is seeking for two Person who is qualified Sr. Site Supervisor Operations & Maintenance (O&M) with experience in renewable energy to join our O & M Department. The Sr. Site Supervisor will be responsible for tracking system performance via live web portals, responding to service tickets, communicating service schedules with customers, and performing field service including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of battery energy storage systems and solar power plants (roof and ground mount). The ideal candidate should have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting capabilities and excellent organizational skills necessary to achieve production and must be capable of working independently or in a team environment.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about renewable energy technology, has excellent collaboration and communication skills, and will thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor all projects in web-enabled portals
2. Ensure systems are meeting production output targets, and schedule preventative or corrective service when warranted
3. Perform field diagnosis and troubleshoot various project systems issues such as inverters, switchgear, transformers, breakers, communications equipment, etc.
4. Perform vegetation management when required
5. Ensure that maintenance schedules are adhered to
6. Create and/or respond to support tickets
7. Handle scheduling with clients when field service is required
8. Work with other members of the maintenance team, sub-contractors, and other groups to continuously improve process, system performance, drive product quality and maintenance cost improvement
9. Assist in training other O&M Technicians, or co-workers as required
10. Assist in developing standard operating documents for machine maintenance, operations, and training.
11. Assist with project commissioning and testing providing knowledge expertise
12. Conduct preliminary site surveys for the engineering team as required
13. Adhere to all health and safety rules and company policies
14. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace whether in office or onsite
15. Conduct other duties as required
16. Always demonstrate exemplary ethics and professionalism

Education & Experience

1. Minimum ITI/Diploma/Engineering in electrical stream required
2. NABCEP certification is a plus
3. Minimum 2 years’ technical experience in maintaining and troubleshooting machinery or electrical equipment, preferred in the renewable energy industry

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Preferred experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring
2. Computer proficiency and ability to use Microsoft Office software
3. Ability to learn and use project management software such as PVsyst/ PVSol/ Solarlab
4. Ability to use CRM online ticketing systems such as Service Hub or comparable
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications
6. Willing to work nights during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
7. Willingness to travel as required
8. Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs when required on-site visits
9. Must be able to wear PPE as required for specific clients and sites
10. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
11. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

We need a Project Head who Coordinates all of the workers and materials involved in a solar installation, managing time and budgets, and coordinating between site engineers, system designers, and installers in the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

2. To manage overall execution and project management of Solar PV projects in Roof-Top & Ground Mounted segment.
3. Lead a team of managers and supervisors in the day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff and other duties required to execute Project, Construction Management, Construction, and Program Management projects
4. Handling and taking complete ownership of multiple projects – Responsible for complete project management through the installation, testing and commissioning of the system
5. Complies with safety procedures/policies and addresses and/or elevates non-compliance among all employees, subcontractors, and vendors at all project sites
6. Ensure Risk Assessment processes and HSE plans are properly applied within each project team and Ensure HSE data and reporting requirements are complied with on each project.
7. Contractor Management for Site execution- Expert in the review, negotiation, approval, and execution of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
8. Develops various construction means and methods with the Superintendent and/or Project Manager to optimize safety, cost, equipment utilization, schedule efficiency, and communication with the client
9. Ensure all construction targets and programs are met and take corrective actions to ensure that the project milestones are achieved.
10. Contribute to strategic planning to execution team.
11. Ensuring on-time completion of Projects – Co-ordination with various stakeholders (Both internal and external) for on-time delivery of Projects
12. Co-ordination with Liasoning department for timely completion of Metering activities and other Govt.

Executing Small to Large scale MW ground-based and rooftop projects across the country.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and engineering of DC & AC side electrical systems of rooftop and ground mounted Solar PV Power projects.
2. Should have knowledge in DC & AC engineering specifications of Solar PV Plants and standards including IEC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, SEC, IS etc.
3. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders relating to the project.
4. Fair understanding of with PVsyst software and energy yield simulations and performance ratio. Should be able to understand various solar PV Module technologies and mounting systems like fixed tilt and trackers.
5. Shall be able to perform shading analysis using software tools like google Sketch up.
6. Should be able to develop of power and protection SLDs, PV array layouts, grouping etc. on design tools like AutoCAD latest software’s.
7. Should be able to Prepare and guide draftsman for Plant Layout GA drawings, PV Array Layout, DC Cable routine layouts, DC Grouping layout and all other Solar PV plant layouts.
8. Should be able to perform design and sizing of String Cable, Power Cable (DC and AC) sizing & calculation; length estimations and Calculations and cable accessories selections.
9. Review & preparation of General Technical Parameters, Design Memorandum, check list preparation, Equipment sizing and configuration for the DC Component.
10. Design and engineering of all the aspects of inverter stations, MV transformer stations, MV Switching stations, Utility metering systems, transmission / evacuation lines etc. Good understanding of SCADA system as required for Solar PV systems; should be able to develop SCADA architecture.
11. Shall be able to review and perform short circuit current calculation to finalize equipment short circuit ratings.
12. Coordination of designs and review activities between Contractor/EPC, Design team and client office. Highlight any technical issues as they occur and advise on their actual or potential impacts.
13. Shall be able to perform independently along with the draftsmen incorporating the GA, Construction drawings, design reports and BOQs of utility scale solar PV projects. If required shall demonstrate the design at client office locations or end clients.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. BE Electrical with more than 3-4 years’ experience.
2. Candidate shall be preferably from design Consulting or IPP or EPC background with exposure on rooftop and utility scale solar PV projects of ground mounted.
3. Should be able to do designs for equipment layouts for Main control buildings, Inverter stations and control rooms, illumination design of the buildings.
4. Good communication skills with ability to produce high-quality design reports and drawings.
5. Should be able to support in preparation of bill of quantities and tenders.
6. Should have skill to utilize software’s like ETAP, Helioscope, PV CASE and PV Syst,
7. AutoCAD and Microsoft packages
